Living the Dream

After several years of living in the United States it was time to take a break. Chef Kurt and Nadine decided they wanted to take a step out of the kitchen to spend more time with their two young daughters and sail the world. They had big dreams, starting with a 40ft sailboat in the Chesapeake Bay, hoping to sail all the way back to Seattle within a year. Four years later the family was still too enthralled by the tropical Caribbean islands to set their sails for the Northwest. Instead, their journey lead them to circumnavigate the Caribbean, snorkeling, sailing, singing sailor songs and enjoying the local cuisine along the way. Familiarizing with some of the exotic islands, working and volunteering, or simply setting anchor for the night and enjoying the sunset. This adventure was unplanned and beyond what they could have ever experienced! However it was the time of their lives, building up positive, enthusiastic energy which created the space for Good Mood Food in our little mountain town.
